St. Joseph
What comes to mind when you think of St. Joseph, you probably think, “oh wasn’t he the adopted father of Jesus Christ, and a carpenter.” Totally was, but when I think of St. Joseph, I see a man who chose to keep our Messiah safe from evil. I see a husband who looked after his wife day and night for her protection. I see a man who chose to be Holy. He reminds me a lot of David, which is the royal line he is descended from, to fulfill the Old Testament prophecy that the messiah would descend from David’s house. Matthew 1:1-16
There is not one word on his spoken in scripture, yet his impact is great. He faithfully protected his family taking them into Egypt to escape Herod’s Wrath and he provided for them from his workings. He raised Jesus in a home filled with a mother’s love and with a father full of faith. Jesus had a home and Joseph made sure that God was the source of the love they all shared.
If you need a husband, a protector or a happy death, call out to St. Joseph and he will be there for you.
