Guardian Angel

Your Guardian Angel is more about keeping you from sinning, rather St. Michael is about keeping evil away from you. When I think of my guardian angel I think of a best friend who is always, ALWAYS! There. Isn’t that so sweet that God thought about us and our everyday to do list, to have an angel with us, guiding our thoughts back to the Holy One. 

Why I love October 2nd, is because it is when we as Catholics celebrate the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels. Yay! This is your reminder to say hi to your angel who probably puts up with a lot, I’m talking to you, just kidding, I am here to love you. but seriously talk to your guardian angel, ask them for guidance. Angels offer guidance and deliver God's Messages. Have you ever sat down with a pint of ice cream and a spoon, but you heard this voice inside your heart saying, maybe you should have used a custard dish. Yeah, I know I found that voice frustrating too, but now I love the voice within me, because I can be closer to Jesus through my actions. Instead of picking up a snack I grab my rosary and say a divine mercy chaplet or read a chapter out of a book. If I spewed all this to you a couple years ago, I would be the biggest hypocrite, but that’s how fast Jesus moves into a heart that is willing to embrace him. By saying the Guardian angel prayer every morning, I am opening my mind, heart and soul to Jesus from sunup to sundown. My heart is his and open to the day he has ahead. Just know his heart can be your most peaceful resting place, if you are willing.
