Letting Go of What You Thought Your Life Should Look Like

How do you let go of what you have been planning for so long. Do you have a busy life? Do you have a daily to-do list? Every time I am moving too fast I think about how Martha almost missed a day with Jesus, because of how fast she was moving. How many moments have you missed because you didn’t have a moment to stop by adoration to see him? My life did a complete 360 after I fell in love with Jesus. I say in love because he is the source of all my happiness, he is the source of my joy, suffering, and all the love I could ever feel comes from Jesus. So yes I am because of him. He is the source of my life. After giving myself to him, I started thinking about every decision. I love the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, they are my favorite group of men on Earth. Listening to those men have humbled my life, they have shown me how to be a person of God. Through them I have found a great love in this world. I have understood how to be a person of God out in public. To live more simply, calm and relaxed through Jesus. First go listen to their music. You may be thinking a band of Friars, best music you will ever listen to. I’ve been only listening to them for about two months now and it has changed my life completely. I think the point I'm trying to get to is that my life didn’t look like this a couple years ago. This is not how I pictured my life, at all. I never knew I could become a completely different person in Christ. But I did, here I am Jesus, all of me is yours! When I left the convent during my time there, I didn’t feel the call to go back. I thought then what was the point of me going, why did Jesus let me in the convent if I wasn’t to stay. But there are little things I took away from my experience and brought into my life. I wake up earlier than I used to, maybe not as early as the sisters but early to me. I started this blog after seeing the Friars share their lives on YouTube. Can I make a difference with this blog? Isn’t it worth a shot trying to get people to see what I see in Heaven, In our Father, In Jesus and the whole Catholic community. Every little moment of our lives matter, Jesus used little moments to make our life seem whole. You just have to have faith in his system. I have found this very hard through my journey of my future husband tracking me down. He still hasn’t found me, but maybe soon, as Jesus would say. You might look in the mirror someday and say “how did I get here?” You might be smiling or crying saying those words, but at some point you will say them. It doesn’t matter how you say these words, Jesus will be there with you. You may not know why you're in this season of your life, but that is what faith is, faith is getting you through to your next troubled moment and the next and so on. God parted the sea, didn’t take it away. He will not take your problem away, but he will walk you through it, to get you to the other side safely. You are his child, he loves you. I think as people grow up, it's hard to see themselves as children because you have to pay for bills, you have stressors, or simply you forgot how. Let me remind you how to be a child of God. When you're in the car, crank the Friars and sing out loud, run through a field of flowers and laugh while you're doing it. When you go to sleep, invite Jesus to sit at the foot of your bed. He wants to show up, his heart is the door that never closes. Go to him, he's waiting for you.
