All about Thérèse and the Saints 

I wanna shout out to my best friend who sits in Heaven. Love you Thérèse. 

Your life was so full with little adventures. To the ocean as a child and then at a young age off to her desert place with Jesus. When I learned how young she was when she knew that’s what she wanted, I was already one year away from the age she died. I thought what is my life worth? Nothing! Will I ever know what my life is worth? Not till my judgement day. When that time comes I will stand before my Father and get my judgement call! 

My life really became about Thérèse when I was thinking of getting confirmed. I don’t think I picked her for my confirmation saint, I think God sent her to me to be my best friend. And when God sends you a saint to be your best friend, you really can’t say “no thank you, I already have too many friends” which is something I would never say. Thérèse at this time was my best friend and only friend. Having a saint as your best friend has so many benefits. They pray for you. And that is one thing that really has gotten me through days. Knowing my best friend is looking down on me having my back through a long day. A friend that will never become an enemy. I say a simple Hail Mary for Thérèse and my other saint friends. Shout out Faustina, Pier Giorgio Frassati, and Carlo Acutis. I say a prayer for them and they keep me close in their prayers. Isn’t that what friendship is to be, even here on earth. I think we get sidetracked about what true friendship really means. But I am here to say I have so many friends and they are all my favorite. ❤️ 

We all have the calling to be a saint like Thérèse, but it’s the courage we need to attain the possibilities of the calling. I think one major way of changing the world is instead of having the house revolve around the TV we have the house revolve around a crucifix. 

Every time we sit down to watch our favorite movie or TV show, instead we think of Jesus on the cross. Would you live your life differently if Jesus was what your life revolved around. Maybe you don’t know who Jesus is? Maybe you are a priest or a nun and Jesus is your life. I encourage you, whoever you are. Pick up a crucifix and carry it with you all day. Play with it in your pocket or wear it as a pin or around your neck. Just keep it near you for one day and see if you start seeing him in more places than just your palm or around your neck.
